It's maddening, and I'm not talking about the hatter!

Hello friends and bloggy buddies!

I have a rant for all of you. Please comment with your wisdom!

I value honesty and forthrightness. As I've gotten older it has become more and more important, no, essential to me. I have never really had time for those people who him and haw and never get to the point or make a decision. That annoys me. I am all for making an informed decision, but make the choice and deal with the consequences--good or bad. I am not saying I am perfect (that would be crazy talk, y'all!), but I like to think I am honest, direct, and tactful. I feel like telling someone the truth in love, even though it may hurt their feelings, is the best course of action.

When I ask you a straightforward question I expect you answer with candor and without guile. Do not worry about hurting my feelings. I am a big girl. It is not kinder to try to spare my feelings. In fact, you will likely be doing more damage. And I do not have the freaking time or energy to waste wondering. Think about this--is it not more torturous waiting to hear about test results than actually knowing the results and being able to deal with what comes next? Have you ever had a relationship break-up and not gotten closure? There are endless examples, but the point is that it is absolutely maddening having to guess!!!

So, I do not have time to beat around the bush or endless amounts of time to wait for you to give me an answer. Be mature and grow-up and own your decision(s). Am I out of my mind to expect this of other people? I am looking for validation that I am not a loony. Your thoughts?

Blessings and peace,

P.S. I am letting it go, have let it go, and am trying not to take it back.

  1. You are not wrong for wanting or expecting that, however, unfortunately we cannot always get it in return. I guess the only control we have is over ourselves - to control our reactions to their actions.

    Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!

  2. I totally here you, waiting is the worst!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I am glad that you had a good time. :)

  3. It's true, we can't always get what we want. Sometimes you just have to let it go because mulling it over and over in your head's just going to make you nuts.

    SITS visiting. Peace. :)

I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!
